EXECUTIVE BOARD

Vice President - Dennis Frey

  • Helps organize the Spring, Select, All Stars, and Fall seasons. 
  • Represents the league in securing permits for city-owned field use. 
  • City of San Diego sports rec council member representative.

Treasurer - Derek Motsinger

  • Signs checks co-signed by another officer or director.
  • Dispenses league funds as approved by the Board of Directors. 
  • Reports on the status of league funds. 
  • Maintains local league books and financial records.
  • Prepares budgets. 
  • Assumes responsibility for all local league finances.

  • Creates monthly meeting agendas.
  • Compiles meeting minutes.
  • Sends league communication.

Umpire-in-Chief - Amy Taylor

  • Schedules umpires in accordance with the league needs 
  • Schedules umpires for tournaments hosted by NGF.
  • Provides input on rule changes. 
  • Responsible for rule enforcement 
  • Works with coaches and umpires to avoid scheduling conflicts.

Player Agent - Erin Burke (Upper Divisions: 10u-14u)

  • Provides timely communication to the league with any snack bar funds, dates, and/or support needed.
  • Supports SCLL with snack bar shopping throughout each season. 
  • Helps with any food purchases for league events.

Team Coordinator - Lisa Flanagan

  • Helps team parents with any questions or concerns relating to team volunteer positions. 
  • Prepares and leads each season’s Team Parent meeting.

Uniforms Coordinator - Gayla Santos

  • Coordinates the planning, ordering, and distributing of all player uniforms each season. 

All Star Coordinators - Dave Smith and Wendy Waddell

Clinics and Coach's Development Coordinator - Jessica Vasquez

  • Obtains and shares new tips and strategies for successful team management with managers and coaches. 
  • Arranges a variety of clinics for coaches and players throughout each season.

  • Obtain and submit NGF volunteer and player info into NGF's USA Softball registration system each season.
  • Ensure all volunteers successfully submit a background check, are cleared, and complete their SafeSport training
