How it works

Players collect pledges, step up to the plate, and hit for a cause. The farther they hit, the more they can raise!

Before the event: Participants REGISTER online at navajosoftball.com. Once registered, each player asks family, friends, neighbors, and supporters to sponsor them. Sponsors can make a flat donation (such as $25) or pledge an amount based on performance (such as $2 per point or hit).

At the Hit-a-Thon: Each player receives  10 swings. Players earn points based on how far or where they hit the ball, with farther hits earning more points and targets earning prizes.

After hitting: The player’s score is recorded and used to calculate any performance-based pledges, prizes, etc.

Fundraising: Players turn in their donations/pledges, and the league pays all profits to Amy Taylor.

The bigger event: The hitting competition will be combined with music, food/vendors, games, raffles, and other activities to make it a fun league-wide event.

Meet Amy Taylor

Amy has given so much of her time, energy, and heart to our players and league. Now it’s our turn to rally around her. You may remember her as the UIC from last year, the long blonde haired coach dancing at 3rd base, or the sweaty-dirty coach who took the time to show our new players how to pitch or even just have fun out there on the field. Amy has been a spirit we all love and adore, she has spent countless time on the field helping, coaching, and supporting... now it's our turn.
